ISSWW Moon Sighting Policy

ISSWW adheres to the traditional view of accepting a global naked-eye sighting of the new crescent moon.

In the case of unverified, uncorroborated moon sightings approved by foreign governments to the east of us, the ISSWW board will refer to the guidance of Hilal committees in North America, such as the Hilal Committee of Chicago.
